He must’ve been blinded by the power he had. Having a nice life, having power over people, having girls all over him, feeling rich.... Although it’s your opinion and that’s how you see it, I see it different. You should read “10 year where I loved you the most” then you might know what I mean. A lot of people can be blinded by something else and once they lose something, they’ll realize what they actually lost. And if he hasn’t realized, then there was no point in having those panels in that chapter. Those flashbacks meant something.
THe guy consistently behaved like a psychopath, enjoying the pain of others, and enjoying power over others. Psychopaths are unable to love. If you think you can love a person and then kidnap them, keep them shackled for years ,rape them over and over, despite their tears and agoony, tehn your definition of love and mine are different.
He lusted for her. He wanted to own her. Love? Nope.

This chapter “I Love You” got me a little emotional. It just showed their (mostly his) true feelings. The second his good ol’ memories ended and showed Karen dead by his side, facing him...it shows what he did and how his actions came to a result he didn’t want. I’m sure he learned his lesson but it’s too late since he’s basically dead now. (●'◡'●)ノ
