it was from a different merman, it just so happened that that merman died and he Broke his first original Egg. He was scared when he realized that it was a baby egg so he took the dead merman's egg to cover the broken one. I hope I make sense. But he cried and admitted it to the priest and the priest made an assurance that not all eggs will live
can someone explain to me why is the uke keep holding the egg(??) is there a child in it???
