I’ve seen a few of Asian dramas where the girl that got cheated on/dumped was accused of being at fault instead of the boyfriend. Like “if she was good enough/stayed in her place maybe he wouldn’t have done that” type of bullcrap and people would endlessly gossip, twisting the truth. This is prob why she’s so hesitant

Dude that shit can be common in a work place. I try to avoid my coworkers during breaks because that when they love to gossip. Smile to your face and then speak behind your back. Some can be very vindictive where if they hear something bad they will snitch to try to get you in problems weather it with other coworkers or even a higher up, anything to put you down and make them stand taller. Sad part is getting out is not so easy because job hunting is a BITCH of a mess in it's self. It's worst in asian countries from what I've been told because your reputation or "Image" can mean everything in your carrier. Yes it's fucked up and I hope it changes.
