Hmm... Satoru never really fit his profile since he targeted girls. I think it's definitely the start of another game of cat & mouse as he resumes kidnapping & murdering girls. Seems to me when Satoru 'died', it took away the satisfaction of killing, which is why he stopped his criminal activities while Satoru slept. He's happy to have Satoru play the role of a worthy foe and satisfy his need for bigger thrills. So he won't try to kill him anytime soon. But that's all just speculation (I totally forgot the killer's name. Oh well). ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Anyways, it's definitely becoming more exciting. Can't wait to see who comes up on top.

I agree that Satoru never fit his profile as though not bluntly stated it is hinted at that he's a pedophile that only targets girls. Hiromi was just a bluff and Satoru is because he's the one that got away. I think he didn't stop his crimes however, he just moved to other towns for targets. I think he kept killing even while Satoru was in a coma, because you can see many missing girls on the crime wall Ken'ya has, and the picture he picks up has '2001' under it, which is before Satoru woke up (2005-2006). But I could be wrong.

Right I totally wasn't thinking about the fact that Hiromi was just to divert attention from himself, and I also thought that he had continued on killing even after Satoru's accident. The reason I was wondering if he was going to try and kill Satoru is b/c one even though he doesn't remember yet, somewhere in his memories is the knowledge that the teacher is the killer and plus he went after Satoru's coworker (can't remember her name) just for seeing his face. But if he hadn't done that she probably would've never given him another thought for being suspiscious. Either way I can't wait to see how it progresses

Oh right, I didn't notice that. Thanks for pointing it out. You miss so much when chapter releases are spread far apart. I forget stuff and read too fast in my excitement. I believe you're right. The killer didn't stop while Satoru was under. And now that I think about it, it would be almost impossible for this type of serial killer to completely repress those impulses. He would probably act on them in some way, even if Satoru's 'death' made killing less exciting for awhile.
