That’s not the vibe I got between them at all? Hilse makes It quite obvious when she doesn’t like someone, and I didn’t see her acting like that towards Axion. He also seems to be the only character thus far that might remember her past lives, so I would assume they have some sort of positive connection. As much as I love destruction of all mangas, everyone usually does so with a partner or team. He could be the Robin to her Batman lmao no romance, just a side kick

wanna drop my hot take here about her reincarnating so many times (is my opinion and how i see her needing so many deaths to change, don't come for my neck):
i wanna say first that we don't fully know what went down in her previous lives so don't just go assuming she was a pushover in all of them. we only know two so far, and in my opinion they played out somewhat realistically taking her personality into account. lemme explain
people don't just change overnight, regardless of how much this genre likes to make us believe that. her first life ended hella short, a day or so after she got her powers. her second life didn't really involve her family. the rest we don't know. considering how much of a pushover she used to be, honestly her gradual change is much much more realistic than if she just went batshit crazy immediately after her first death.
especially if you take into account that in her second life she still kept hoping for something better even after she heard herself how big of a douchebag the white clown was. people don't work like how some of u be thinking based on other MCs in this genre. tons of people don't learn from a hundred mistakes, and they will fuck up a hundred more times before they understand. people die with regrets, used and abused, being a pushover, letting people walk all over them. it happens man. she was just lucky to get more chances than anyone else.
also, as i mentioned in the beginning, we don't know exactly what happened in her previous lives (the other 5), she could have tried to fuck everyone up or whatever u guys want (though i think there's much more to it than that). she could have tried different methods that maybe didn't work out. her previous lives didn't necessarily have to be her being the exact same crybaby she was in her first two.
her character has flaws, she trusts people she shouldn't because they are family or they offer comfort she has never received before, and her personality was perfect in the beginning to be taken advantage of.
her current cold attitude makes more sense after seeing all the shit she went through so far: people don't just go from being a complete doormat to an ice queen slaying her enemies that easily. i think it's realistic, gives dimension to her character because she really was stupid and unlikable, being unable to stand up for herself. her only defining characteristic isn't just being hurt for no reason and then becoming a badass overnight bc of it.
