Could be.it's I only read the manga but is it possible that he regressed at the same moment that the mc reincarnated and therefore thinks this is some kind of parallel world wher his aunt does love him? Events are already rly different at this point. so it kinda is.
But I bet there are important future events too where the aunt specifically is needed, likely something related to the queen's blood and the purple eyes (that's all that's been foreshadowed rn in the manga). Otherwise he would prly not care that much about her and would still have left her in the village: she would be the one to pick out his personality change the fastest and doesn't rly have important regular skills after all.
