I think the issue with it is the fact that it's more so based on maturity, keep in mind that they both are technically 12 in this new world. But, the difference is that Art has the mentality of a 30 year old while Tess still has a 12 year old mentality.
I completely agree. Even if his age won’t change in his current world it would still be strange for him to be in a romantic relationship. He has the mentality, experience, and maturity of someone a lot older. If he went into another body and regained some of their memories it would be more okay for him to be in a relationship but he instead died and was born as Arthur. Having the maturity of an older person is different from having all the memories and experiences of one.
It doesn't make any sense.

It's just you have the memory of your previous life. Memory of your previous life can't make you older in a new life I guess.
There's plenty more reincarnation story where the mc born again as a child with previous memory but they don't think of themselves old or anything.
