it seems like after 9 years, despite being in the same shitty situation, jungkwon’s character has matured and even confessed that he needs to apologize to Kangjin. However kangjin’s character has not developed at all (or at least yet) still hung up on their relationship and planning revenge. Also he falls in love easily to whoever shows him an ounce of affection.
