don’t forget he has two hearts. his own and the shadow monarch’s. if i remember correctly, when he dies he meets the shadow monarch and the shadow monarch gives jinwoo his powers completely. so basically passed the torch to him. (i read the novel like a year ago so sorry if i’m not completely right or whatever)
