I agree... I think Mikado was used to the type of men he was attracted to initially and wasn't truly looking at Serizawa until his fantasies got out of control.
Mikado's fantasies took on a life of their own and has since sent him spiraling.
Ooh I like this perspective... Mikado's interest towards Serizawa began from how he perceived Serizawa on the surface and it became deeper as time passed... or as Serizawa kind of welcomed or reciprocated his actions..?
