I remember reading spoilers that the two would get a divorce and elle would be split between them like every year going back and forth. At first i thought that the scenario didn’t make sense if they really prioritized elles development and happiness. Thinking about it now, the divorce is probably better than having a half assed father and toxic grandfather. I mean I still feel sad for elle idk I just hoped he was able to grow up in a “normal” family scenario but i guess the divorce is wayyy better than the life he had previously.
