So true, it was hard to be respected back then because they were only seen as objects and birthers by basically all men. Higher status women would be married as young as just being birthed and grow up to only be taught to have a child and be a wife. Its sad when u look at the past, history is cruel but it keeps things from happening again.
This story really makes me wonder what women suffered in the Middle Ages. Even if they had a higher position, they were still treated as second citizens, if even that. Their lives dictated by the men that ran the society. So much we’ll never know
