Preach. A good plot and dialogue can make up for so-so art but no amount of smut or good art can compensate for a shitty plot.
Or stories that have child rape or molestation as backstory but treat it like its nothing even though it's a real issue
Like I don't get bl authors at all. Like what's with all the rape rape rape and abuse? Like is there no other plot u could have chosen? Like it's not even shocking anymore I just see these rape scenes and I'm literally bored I just scroll past non stop. I wonder who tf reads this shit and actually likes it or jerks to it. What is the problem lately with korean BLs with amazing art but shitty plot? Just r*pe after r*pe and ab*se. I am just tired. There are too many titles like this going around and the problem is that they are amongst the most read BL titles on both korean and english platforms. Angst is okay, drama too, but all of this violence for what?? Shock value? This is just lazy writing imho.
It is such a pity in this case, because the plot here could have been so much more, and with less r*pe and violence all around.
