huh. idk if the commenters here are acting dense or what but it's obvious asahi doesn't want to commit because his dad is expecting him to have a wife and pass down their business to their child cause it has been their family tradition for ages. even the mc acknowledged it in his thoughts. he obviously isn't a bad guy and for sure is a better guy than that boss. not saying he's the best match since he still has his issues to deal with before he could get with the mc but saying he's worse than that boss is ridiculous.
also if y'all forgot, asahi wanted to remain friends with him after the proposal - he obviously loves mc too. but he added on afterwards that continuing being friends might make mc feel more miserable so he adds that *MAYBE* it's better if they don't see each other (up to what mc thinks is better for him). how could y'all gloss over that? he didn't say they shouldn't see each other anymore because he doesn't want to, he said that because maybe the mc wouldn't like to remain as friends gosh. media literacy, anyone?
