I don't remember much but Edith's mom true love was never about her husband but her child, Edith. That's why she wanted Edith to be married quick for her to escape the reincarnation circle. At the end, MC will break the cursed becaus there was a number of death required to end those endless circle. In the story I think we see her die 5 times before living a better life if I remember right
