GUYS HEAR ME OUT
I KNOW IT SEEMS NAKYUM HAD NO SCAPE THIS TIME BUUUUUTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's stop being logical and think: byeonduck absolutely LOVES Nakyum and Seungho right? So, if Nakyum were to die in this awful way, not even being able to say good bye to seungho one last time or to promise they will find each other in another life or something like that, it would not only be extremely depressing, but also unlogical with all the character's improvements. It would be such a tragic way to die by being beaten up almost to death and then be thrown into the sea all alone with his body vanishing and being forgotten as if it never existed... how could byeonduck do such a thing with her precious character knowing all the pain they have endured so far was to find peace in each other? Ending things like this would mean all the development she worked so much on were all in vain. SHE WOULDN'T DO SUCH A THING WITH OUR LOVELY NANA BECAUSE IF HE WERE TO DIE, IT SHOULD BE IN A HONORABLE OR BEAUTIFUL WAY, HE DOESN'T DESERVE THIS KIND OF DEATH AND SHE KNOWS THAT.
Also, this would be the ending of the story. She promised a happy ending "in their own way". If Nakyum is dead, seungho will be dead inside until he passes away as well, there's no alternative to that and we wouldn't have a happy ending. Come on, Seungho just walked towards a suicide to be together with Nakyum, this has to be the ultimate public "proof" of how Nakyum has become his will to stay alive and become a better person (...let's just ignore all the people he just killed though...lol).
Also (2), byeonduck said at the ending of the last season that this season would be so much more painful than all the others, but we would still have a happy ending, which means we are supposed to be desperate right now but just for a few time. And everybody knows the whole "reincarnation" thing isn't a happy ending.
Also (3), no corpse no death.
Yes, I am in desperate denial.
Also (4), please ignore the typos, I'm already in GREAT pain to be rational writing on my second language.

Thanks for attending to my TED talk.

I agree with you. But I also don’t think Seungho went out to drown, I’m sure he was just searching for Nak-yum’s body. He won’t go down so easily, he proved that by slaughtering everyone. He’s like, “No you will not! You will not take him away from me! I will have him back!”
