I remember reading the novel to this like two years ago and being absolutely obsessed, but I stopped keeping up with updates after a while. Although I barely remember anything, I know for a fact that this adaptation is nowhere NEAR as good as the novel was. The pacing in this is horrible; it’s too fast and doesn’t spend as much time as the novel did on world building or nurturing the relationships of the characters.
In the novel, Sharon’s explanations allowed me to have a deeper understanding of Carol and Julien (or in this case Yuren..) and to sympathize with them, but I barely felt anything reading this, especially in all of Julian’s weak moments. I remember crying in the novel when Julien was hurt and Sharon rushed over to his side (I believe this scene was in chapter 3 or 4 of the manhwa), but the manhwa was an absolute let down. I felt no attachment and my face was deadpan reading it.
Needless to say I stopped reading shortly after. Honestly, this manhwa could’ve done a lot better if the pacing wasn’t so horrible and they didn’t leave out crucial dialogue

But the manwha justt— overwhelming lol i barely feel anything for the character
