Its not that he doesn't need this another kid, but that he should not need to feel bound by it. Theo had a hard time making Seth realize he'd have to leave and fight for his people despite having his lover in the enemy camp. Seth had a hard time thinking he'll have to leave Theo and his child now add another unborn child to mix and Seth might really choose to give up and stay with his new family. It will be a very hard choice to make.
So the 1st baby isnt even totally born that another is already growing ?? Well damn... And why does he say he doesnt need this one kid ?? Im honestly very confused abt this story.
