Exactly, but in the end neither of them are the ML. Because none of them are real. I have a feeling that the guy at the end of chapter 50, is the base of BOTH of them. Sharing shared characteristics between them (I mean he already has the Hwiyoung's black hair and Eunjae's light eyes), meaning in some weird way both Hwiyoung and Eunjae will get the girl at the end.
But yeah, it's funny seeing people get so frustrated over two characters, who are LITERAL characters in a story made by another character in the story. In the grand scheme of things, it was obvious that neither of them had a chance. The only way Eunjae could've ever been the ML, was if the MC abandoned her real life, everything she's worked so hard and suffered for; and all the people who actually really love her. Which is a fucked up but a somewhat cool ending, but not suited for a story about the MC facing her past and owning up to it. It would be redundant to the story's theme.

And so many people got mad at the mc for acting dumb but like if she used her brain and avoided danger then the story wouldn’t progress haha
I feel like yall got too invested in the story to realize that she got sucked into a shitty novel where Eunjae is the 2nd ML and no matter how much nicer he is he won't ever be the main ML. I think it’s pretty meta with how in most love triangles the nicer guys are always 2nd ML
