As someone with mysophobia I can think of the gloves being the barrier that allws for touch, but it doesn't feel like the author is taking this mjental illness seriously. It just seems like a fun plot device for them to create certain moments rather than it being a part of his character.
Honestly the plot is too much a caricature...and why the ml who couldn't touch anything suddenly is at ease touching the pitiful FL... doesn't make sense.
