I read all of part one (over 700 chapters) so:
no there was no love interest in that part. they’re currently translating part two rn but im not caught up on that
Absolutely zero love interests, even to part 2. There are not even one person that is "in love" with Cale, per se. Closest I can think of is Choi Han, but that's up for debate. The Author hints to it being the case iirc, but it's not clear cut. So yeah, no love, no romance, zilch, nada.

There is absolutely no romance being hinted in part 1 and in part 2 so far. But they're definitely a lot of shippers hoho. I for one liked the alberu x cale for their brotherly bond in the novel. Cale has a lot of 'brothers' in the novel. I look forward to how Lee Soo Hyuk would look like ヾ(☆▽☆)
Oh yes. Forgot to mention there's metric ton of bromance, but absolutely zero amount of romance.
