This. Finally someone who thinks similarly. It started pretty interesting, but as the story goes by, I just couldn't get into it because of how Ginger deals with things. I want the relationship to work out for him, but not in this way. The current situation just screams danger.
I'm hoping the artist will show his character development. (which I think will happen)
Same. Ginger is being too self-serving, hurting Rum in the process. It's kind of annoying.
I hope we see him mature even in the slightest as the story progresses.
Like, before this it was just mild dislike of his methods and the way he goes about his crush. But now it kind of feels like he thinks of no one but himself. Even in saving Rum, it was all about Ginger.
And this is yaoi, this is almost 190% sure to work out for them. But I don't see how you come back from that.
Not even the fact that it went wrong, just right off the bat, being willing to tramp through someone else's thoughts is a deal breaker for any kind of relationship. For not being able to trust his friend to the point he'd rather break Rum's trust than simply trust Rum, who's been there from day one, to accept him even if he doesn't romantically love him is... I can't even think of a word that properly sums up how fucked that is.
As far as characters go, Ginger isn't the worst nor the character I hate the most from all the yaois I've read... but he's low enough down that I don't necessarily want things to work out smoothly for him. If he continues to be an ass (which I think he won't) I'd prefer he learns a lesson rather than getting what he wants.
