House chores is usually just a term for something to do outside of work, like running an errand.. it could be a number of things
Lmfao. You must see my colleague, he has to have a bath in the middle of the day and ironically no one questions him. Or better still he can't go to work on a certain day because another day his helper is at home.
It's just a general term. I believe most of the time it should be considered as a valid excuse already. Anything related to your house equates to family. In our company, regardless if an employee lies, once they use this house/family matters card, we don't have a say about it. Whether you're single or a family person. It's not necessary for you to be specific to the extent of sharing things you want to keep in private. If you think about it, it's the boss that's being an ass here. Imagine you wanted for your staff to extend their work time without being clear what/which exactly they should fix. He was vague when he said "not sincere". If he really wanted for an employee to finish everything on the dot, he should have pointed out exactly what's needed to be done instead of wasting both of your time.
I know he's jealous but that doesn't excuse him to be unreasonable.
Obviously the ML is acting like an asshole.. He can’t even separate his personal feeling from professional life..
But I’ve seen places where you have to stay at office to complete work.. They can only leave if they are really sick or have an emergency at home.. Otherwise they have to take a day off to take care of personal stuff..
You guys have nice workplaces.. Sigh.. Envious..
