Though I'm not really sure if this is how it'w going to be for them but I just really hope they won't go down that route
To be fair, at least this time of it does happen it’s 100% because of trauma and spells and shit? Also, he’s getting better so at least the trauma is addressed where in other stories it conveniently disappears through the ‘power of love’. I’ve got a feeling that as she breaks down the brainwashing spells and stuff he’ll start to actually become more ‘human’ again, so less of an ‘innocent in a big boi body’ trope and more ‘breaking down literal walls due to magic until I remember what it’s like to be human’ trope
To be fair, she doesn’t see him as anything but child/dog she’s taking care of. He still has fully developed brain (I think) so he is figuring out his stuff and feelings as he goes, but it def would be better for romance to start after she unlocks his memories
I'm not really a fan the born sexy yesterday trope (where a love interest who's too innocent for their own good/ lacks mature comprehension that probably don't even know the concept of love is, but conveniently in a grown person's body)
but will let it simmer for a bit and see how they develop this
