Well, the parents maybe has a big age gab, or just one had a child in a very young age or the other one had a child late, Is very unusual today but 50 years ago that wasn't unusual, anyway that was better if they was just cousin and not uncle and nephew

lol, I'm not sure how you're confused? The age gap between parents would be completely irrelevant, it only means that the uncle was born a significant amount of time after his older siblings (i.e., parent of the ML). The uncles parents are the ML's grandparents.
