I remember reading this story where the uncle is loved my his twin nephews (their parents died so he took care of them). THAT had double penetration. Oh, lord, that had some really good scenes. And it was more established. The brothers had discussed their feelings beforehand and the feeling of jealousy was only depicted once. Here, it was Linda wishy washy. The uke was so weak as a character... I mean, everyone started shipping ShionXAoya halfway through. Meh, I think that the mangaka could have done a tad bit better.

are you talking about http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/futari_no_musuko_ni_nerawarete_imasu/?
Yes, I noticed that too. But maybe an uncle doesn't count as too close (in Japan)? I mean, I have heard that sometimes daughters are married off to their uncles there or something. That's unthinkable in most other places. They used to do that in India, but even they see blood ties in this day and age. Cousin's still marry in some parts, that'snot uncommon...
I've seen it in other places, too. Can't recall them because it was all mid-binge. Shoujo, haha. Oh, and then there's Usagi Drop. Ahhh, the second part of the series was messy (but I loved it). There are some rare shoujo manga I'm which they are into their blood relatives and cases where the young girl is forced to marry her uncle or something because they have a more traditional family and would rather not have mixed blood or because the uncle's an ass... Anyway, I have seen the explanation I gave you in some translator/editor notes and stuff. And Ciel's family does have great importance, so it only makes sense. It'san old way of thinking to keep the blood of the family within the family. As long as they aren't directly related (sibling, parent)
I've got a long money bet going that either Ciel or Elizabeth dies at the end. She's did have one manga end tragically. Anyway, on the "uncles don;t count" thing, I wonder if it had to do with a censorship law Japan passed a few years ago where they started pulling incest, shotacon, & lolicon titles from shelves. Trying to take the sin edge off a fetish while not avoiding the fetish entirely.
Could be, but when it is published in a hentai mag, all is allowed. Fathers with daughters, siblings together... Ugh, I've seen a lot of incest under hentai. But there is incest in shoujo, too. Like "I am in love with my sister" and "True Love". The first one even has a live action movie and got a frikin award. I don't get it at all. I mean, I am not against incest - I don't think that I have any right to judge because different people, different opinions - but I don't really understand incest either. It's fine if they aren't blood related, though. Oh, there's also "Aki to Sora" under incest... That was plain nasty and I'm not sure if that was the exact name but whatever.
Yeah, when you're not religious, there's no moral dogma about things like that, & you're left wondering why everyone is so uptight about the subject. I always wondered why straight men looked down on gays when their pairing off reduces competition for elegable women, or why overpopulated countries look down on them when they don't contribute babies into the population.

Why no double penetration???????? (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
