okay well when the next person you like pretends to misread your name just to pin themself into your memory, remember it's just them being cutesy. I don't like or dislike dohyun but I do think he's a major asshole. his feelings for wooyeon don't dismiss that he's toxic as hell. he had so many chances to tell the truth and didn't. if wooyeon hadn't found out, dohyun would have gone on pretending like that.
Maybe he thought he didn't want to reveal himself? And waited for him to tell him..

I think you missed something here. In the novel Dohyun very clearly explained why he pretended not to know: he said that he recognized Wooyeon after connecting the dots quite soon.
HOWEVER he noticed (and readers should notice from chapter one in the manhwa) that Wooyeon was being so obvious about the fact that he pretended not to know him, avoided him, and not reveal his identity. Dohyun played along since Wooyeon was the one who purposefully acted like he didn’t know him first, and so Dohyun wanted to wait until Wooyeon was ready to tell him.
Once Dohyun explained that part, Wooyeon was upset but still got over it soon. It’s facts that Wooyeon was also a liar and avoided everything, running away at several opportunities.
