Ngl, this one is very slow even in the novel. In total, MCs only spend few months together in span of more than 12 years. If it's not for strong impression that Abel left in Karas's early life, there will be no story to be told about them at all. And fortunately Abel is his true Regas. Like it's title, Regas is the key answer for every issues here. How important it is his role for Karas and his kingdom. Karas as the King is just like a cherry on top. Dragging yes but this one is not boring to follow. I understand the frustation tho'.

Romance in this one felt like fleeting moment. Yup, plot focused on politic and many other things. English translation of novel is still ongoing. Last time I've checked in side stories their journey was still challenging. Another dragon showed up. But their relationship was going steady.
