S. Korea is notorious for a very demanding and high pressure education system that they rank highly on suicide rates among students and academics. Uyun's anxiety is definitely legit as placing importance in rankings is sadly integrated in their social norms
that's nasty as hell
even back in college they would just post your student number so no one else could tell who's who
the competitiveness in Korea go crazy
