It's starts off as soft gangster, but then soft gangster believes that his love betrayed him, so he treats him like absolute shit. And now, I guess we are attempting redemption arc.

The bottom is not letting him off easy.

I'm reading now to get through. I have read worse, but I hate the top enough now that I don't care if they get a happy ending.
