This pretty much explains how Jaekyung turned out the way he is and why he's got such a weird soft spot for old people. Life has been a war zone for him since Day 1 and when he sees people like Kim Dan who can't pull themselves out of the mud and pathetically refuses to "fight back," he criticizes them harshly for not being able to flip things around like he did. Being constantly abused as a child really messes with your brain and I don't expect Jaekyung to unlearn all of that so easily.
