FYI I’m not defending JK. But people mean that it “explains” in a way. NOT an excuse. Most people agree that what he did is terrible but in real life it’s extremely common (sadly) that an abused person becomes an abuser in some shape way or form. Again not an excuse just an explanation in the sense where JK didn’t grew up in a regular loving household and grew up to be an asshole just because. (If that were the case then I’d think he’s psycho. Would remind me of Isagi from BL but not in an abusive way lol)
