Shin hwajin is his actual name- his twin is hwayoung- which we find died coz of espers. So hwajin got revenge by killing them during an expedition. He tried committing suicide but got saved by Tan. Tan named him Hima coz Hwajin has amnesia.
One thing im confused tho, its clear Hwajin/Hima is an esper but why are those pigs calling him a guide too (ch1). They
