I agree that a sad backstory doesn't give jk a right to act like but I don't think the author is playing with us. That's probably how she wants the flow of the story to be. the breaks are like cliffhangers meant to create suspense/excitement for readers.
also don't you think the "don't read if you don't like it"makes sense? not just with jinx but generally. like if you dont like a manhwa/manga why bother read it?
