I’m not trying to hate because the art is beautiful and the plot is plotting but I’ve been noticing this in multiple historical manhwas or just manhwa in general and it’s so annoying lol. There’s nothing wrong with having a obviously beautiful female mc who’s also not a pushover
In the novel her hair is unkempt and she wears frayed clothing so it kinda makes sense why she’s looked that way lol plus I think in ch 6 or 7 it illustrated that her mom gave her a complex about her eyes/beauty. This is the same writer as “Predatory Marriage,” so if you don’t mess with FLs who are unabashed and shy but also very competent and astute you’ll enjoy the story. I did! Throughly.
I agree with your point though on adaptations usually going towards FLs who are a bit demure or non-confrontational lol
As long as she’s competent I’ll like her so hopefully I start to seeing the competentness
I can not stand when the artists draws the fl as beautiful but she’s “canonly” mid or plain. Usually idc but in this one it’s kind of annoying because she’s slender, has white/blonde hair with blue/yellowish eyes that come with long majesting lashes….Its like the author is trying to present her as quirky and different but is failing. She also gives “shy, weak” female lead who won’t defend herself and only thinks of herself as a lowly commoner. I like the story and the art is beautiful but I wish the fl was a bit different, she’s like every other “not as perfect as other girls” mc
