I think in one of writers/artists interview chapters they did praise queen's character. Characters well thought really are something even as antagonist!!
Sure, she is extremely smart but infortunatly too much self centred and narrow-minded. Even now, she can only think of the old Lombardi being the oppotnent. She don't value anyone beside her. The exact opposite of Tia
She is not a girl boss, she is too selfish for that. Of course, she is intelligent, but she is ruling with fear and money instead of trust and loyalty. A girl boss can be merciless but would protect her people...

Fr, i genuinely think if the circumstances were different and she were Tia’s age or younger then she’d easily become the head of her own family and just do it herself. It’s pretty implied through the story that her own family pushed her to marry the king even though she wanted to be the matriarch of her own family and was the most capable child. Now she’s settled for ruling the family from the position of empress and trying to take control of the imperial family as well to prove herself. She’s a super interesting character
Well, she does care for her child, in a twisted way that is. Idk if they’ll change it here in the manhwa, but in the novel it was later revealed that she was, in fact, still a mother after all. She definitely couldn’t care less about her other family members, though. What she did to her brother in the novel was so cruel, It was frankly terrifying to read. Still, you can’t deny her intelligence and strong resolve is admirable. She wanted to be a matriarch like Tia, but circumstances weren’t in her favor, and she was forced to marry instead.
Well maybe not that terrifying.

She's remarkably similar to Tia, 1. by circumstance she was shut out of being the matriach, 2. her relatives are useless at running the family 3. she will do anything (including framing e.g astana, bellesac) to ensure the protection of her family. The only real difference is she doesn't care at all about innocents or being a good person
Yeah, they said that she ripped her brother‘s mouth and I’m like, well people aren’t paper, you can’t rip flesh unless you like rip them apart by like, did she do like grab his John rip it off his face? Or was it like she ripped his cheeks? Did she grab his mouth and opened it so wide it ripped his cheeks open? I mean like are we talking about body mutilation? Or did she just slash it like you know she cut his face or did she like decapitate him? I mean like those are questions. I’m like worried about because you can’t just say rip and you’re not like specific about it because you can rip paper but to rip a guy‘s mouth? Did she slap him? Maybe I’m just not seeing it.
I didn’t realize you had all that in mind since you didn’t really mention it in your question. As far as I remember, she ripped both sides of his mouth open by slicing from each corner toward the ears. That is, if I remember correctly. ╥﹏╥

Yeah, but it would show to what point she's willing to go to get what she wants or how angry she can get... So I think it's important to show even if not in a too gruesome way
Argue with a tree but if this was from the pov of the queen, I'd probably be on her side. She is super intelligent and ruthless and definition of girlboss who despite her circumstances rose to power. Don't get me wrong, I am rooting for Tia and Perez and I think Astana and the the eldest Lombardi are turd but the queen is just *chefs kiss* of a woman.
