You mean because it's campy comedy? Even for campy, the characters need to be believable, which can only happen when written properly. For eg, Punch Drunk Love.

I appreciate your honesty with the story, de plot holes. I think it evens out at the end, but that's also my enjoyment of how they are free to be as stupid, free, and domestic as they want at the end

Don't know what kinda elite agent acts as hapless, dumb, clumsy and clueless as this annoying uke. If the writer is trying to impress upon the reader that this is believable characterization, well that didn't work. Dropped.
