Angst is there, but it mainly funny, lots of pining and being dense. It's a really good story with a wonderful ending.

Asking advice y’all
I was reading it a looong time ago and I read in the the comments that the main characters don’t end up together. I read the emperor/king whatever married someone else despite his feelings for his knight because she was never interested in him
So I dropped, I lost motivation since I was rooting for them. But now I see that it has a happy ending still and I don’t understand, she ends up with who ?!
I usually don’t like spoilers but I still want to know what I’m getting into so please tell me <3
