they throw it in like it’s a characteristic trait. why add in sa or rape like it’s the color of someone’s hair? they don’t even dive into the complexity of it, feels unnecessary

i’m talking about when the story was completely fine and they add in a random rape scene “oh if you don’t like it then why is your body reacting” type of bs and then they move on from the scene like nothing happened

No, I don't think they are referring to him, but the other men from the island, specially the crazy old men who kept licking his lips apparently staring at the women's bodies. Like, he is evil without that anyway and they don't really delve onto the reality of women in apocalypses in this story so...
I love this, they really acted like in those dating programs, super superficial and over the top. Hate how the mention of sexual harassment/rape is a common theme that doesn't even contribute that much to the story tho
