It is making me sad how people in the comment section just laugh the pain of the other people. They don’t know how depression can drive a person to their death. Anyways since I read the novel, what Ido is doing is just a preparation for what he plans for himself which is to self-exit. It is like tying all loose ends before ending his life. I don’t know if you can still say the same thing once it does happen.
