I get what you mean, but not everything has to be this perfectly calm, emotionally stable reaction Like, yes, he’s doing it for Ines, I get that but sometimes people feel things and it shows. That doesn’t mean it’s wrong or unstable.
I just wanted something raw, something that hurts. It’s not about wanting him to live for drama, but more about seeing the emotion actually come through. You can still care for someone and lose your composure a little- that’s human. It would’ve made the moment land harder instead of feeling so muted
MUTED?? Girrrl what if hes just too mature and composed and you think thats lower than being emotionally 'raw'?? it takes maturity to be able to reach this kind of composure yet you down playing Carcel's appropriate reaction right now. you might be surprised but in real life situation more people are "muted" when they experience something like witnessing a panic attack.
I think you’re taking my comment a bit too personally I’m not saying being calm is bad at all. I get that he’s composed and it fits the moment. But maturity doesn’t automatically mean you have to be emotionally muted. People can process things deeply and still show it, that’s part of what makes reactions believable and human. That kind of depth doesn’t take away from composure; it adds to it.
You seem really in your feelings about defending Carcel, which is fine but I’m just sharing what I wanted from that scene. I just think the scene could’ve shown that balance - calm on the surface, but something raw underneath. That’s what makes it hit. more visible emotion, more weight. That’s all. It’s not that deep for me; I just said what I said

Honestly, if in real life someone threw the evidence onto your bed, you’d probably get a clue why your spouse is mad
I don’t know, but I really wish Carcel showed more reaction like give me drama, emotional wreck, something!
