Just a little rant

The part abt him and his mother's life in the u.k hit rlĺy close to home. Racism against Asians in the UK, or even generally, is so normalised. Growing up as a visibly Asian child in the UK, you slowly start noticing how often you face these little microaggressions, and it'll slowly start building up inside you until you pop. It honestly gets a bit too much sometimes and emotionally overwhelming, and it's especially invalidating when it's so normalised, and considered a 'joke'.

I've faced racism not only from white people, but from black people too, even south asians. I live in a predominantly south asian and white town, but majority of the racism I face is from south Asians, and it can feel kinda frustrating to hear/see it from fellow Asians. (Not to say some white ppl in my town aren't also racist, they are, particularly the elderly, but their racism is targeted towards south Asians rather than East, and they always feel comfortable sharing that with me??? Like my guy, I grew up surrounded by south asian community, why would I agree with them???)

I could go on forever about racism in the UK and the edl and the reformers, ect. so I'll end it there.
