reading comprehension is lacking in the comment section he’s heterosexual because he 100% believes he is it’d be a different conversation if the author concludes the story by not mentioning his sexuality or making it seem like he’s only gay for Ian but that is not the case come on people let’s not turn everything in to a debate.

the explanation makes sense because it’s his character recap in season one he is heterosexual because he believes he is we can have the conversation of his sexuality once he questions it and decides to be in relationship with a man

Reading comprehension is lacking in you too if thats what you get from the author's notes bc the author never said he believed he was hetero, the author headcanoned him as %100 hetero, meaning the character is still hetero, but somehow okay with sleeping other guys bc he is used to to touching other guys (???) even though i love the story, if the author can't even acknowledge the existence of bisexuality, how are they even writing a bl story? You should at least have some background knowledge about what you wrote. Plus "gay for only..." Stories fucking suck. Sexuality does not change. You might find out later in your life that you are into guys too but that doesnt make the you before straight or the present you "gay for only one guy but still straight". And with the way the author mentions that "he is hetero." in their notes, it sounds like they will go for that route too, which sucks ass.

I appreciate you for proving my point. If you would have read my post you would know that my opinion is based solely on the fact the author is recapping the character in season one or recapping his thoughts on his sexuality. Its like you’ve read one part of my sentences and distorted them. The author literally dropped line after line hinting at his own thoughts on his sexuality which is 100% heterosexual and that is where I am basing my opinion on.Like I said IF the story ends without any discussion of his sexuality then that is a different conversation.

I read your comment again to not make any mistake and i understand what you are saying. But my point is, if the author thinks the way you think, why would they not outrightly say that "this character thought he was straight and his thoughts about his sexuality started to change after meeting the ml..." The author specified that this character was and still IS straight no matter what he did with other guys. I believe this is not author recapping the character's thoughts, this is author mentioning what they imagined when they wrote the character in mind.
I'm saying this is the author's own opinion rather than a reflection of the character's thoughts. Like you said, if the story concludes with them not mentioning his sexuality at all, we will be sure but right now, i believe this way. If they say that he is bisexual/or any other sexuality later in the story, then i will just eat my words and apologize. I will still give the author the benefit of the doubt but the way they worded it right now was a bit upsetting.

And i looked at what the author wrote in their notes AGAIN, and they only mention that season one is ending with a scene foreshadowing that his feelings will start to change but later they say it was hard to make a straight guy date another guy and that he is %100 straight. It sounds like he will continue to be a hetero character despite developing feelings for a guy, which sounds like the classic trope of "gay for only you"

You seemed to be confusing me here. I'm not here to defend the author if they go down the route of only gay for you or even completely glossing over his sexuality. The only reason I have hope in them is that I have read their other works, and they are taking the same route. Though they didn't do this grand thing where the character explores the idea of being bisexual or gay, they have at least made the character acknowledge that they are not heterosexual. One last time, my opinion is based solely on the fact that I believe they are recapping his own understanding of his sexuality.
