The storyline is kinda confusing, first it was all that with taekin (which was main part of the story), and now it's backstory. While I do like that we're getting it so we can better understand minjae and their relationship. Weird way for it to go. This feels more like side chapters rather then part of the main story, while the ending to the main story didn't have a satisfactory ending. Perhaps I should've let it marinate so it would be less confusing. And I do love this story, it's very unique!!
I think their relationship could develop with the main plot. When he got into his original body of course. Now that the main plot ended, it feels like unnecessary continuation even though we were here for the romance in the first place

Well then adding the backstory adds more to the relationship arc. Cause now it finally dives into their romantic relationship. So it goes: problem plot arc, then relationship arc, then a few side stories (like 2 if I remember correctly?)
