Sekhmet IS hathor. Aka same body different souls. Sekhmet was born as the personification of hathors rage and all the negative feelings n emotions she cant harbour as exclusive goddess of love and beauty. Apparently Ra fell in love with hathor n knowing shed never have hathor melted her rage in this mirror n gifted it to hathor to keep her company and over time the rage became sekhmet. Which explains why she's protective of hathor so much
