I love how strong and smart the MC is. After hearing about how the MC saved Cayden, I couldn't help, but root for them. Overall, this is a nice linear read. MC is a strong FL and has aura. However, it definitely could've been better. The story isn't as complex or creative as it's potential. I would've like to see the relationship building between each character/side-character. Also, there was a lot of building up for some events, just for the reveals to be anti-climactic (ex: Cayden meeting Edna, Edna's pregnancy, Edna revealing her identity to Eli). Alex's growth and Cayden's ending was too rushed.
