i liked this story. the plot, the characters, everything was pretty entertaining and had potential for more depth. but i feel like the author who story boarded this from the og novel format kind of missed the mark a little. it really felt frustrating to see mc deal with conflict in the same way for 70 chapters straight. after reading it thoroughly, i can see why mc acted the way he acted (his childhood/strained parental relationship) except i felt like this should’ve been explored way more at the beginning, rather than heejaes backstory or at LEAST alongside his backstory. it felt like it was rushed at the end so the fluff could finally have its stage.
i don’t completely understand the people who really enjoyed this story to the fullest extent because it was just such a miss for me- or like i expected more from the mc and their relationship but it never came. you were good i need you to be great
