Yes, I have similar suspicions about his leg. I think Yeonjoo will do it to himself. maybe when he feels Hee’s breath on his neck, he’ll try to commit suicide. Either way, I don’t see a happy ending for them, not in this life. Only reincarnation could help.

In chapter 97 he's suffering and I think he maybe will continue suffering for a couple more chapters, maybe longer. And we may even get to see flashbacks of his despair before he decided to call Moon-Won over.
Also, call me naive, but I feel increasingly more convinced that Hee-ryang won't be the one to hurt Yeonjo's leg (season prologue) and even that Yeonjo will willingly come back with him. After all, in the prologue, Hee-ryang seems to be threatening Yeonjo about the harming himself part when he already clearly has him back with him. I think he may have realised this chapter (97) that Moon-Won still has some influence over Yeonjo in the not harming himself department.
