Hmmm other than his lack of communicating his real feelings, I think he actually handled things pretty well. In most omegaverse stories, becoming mates is much harder on the omega than the alpha, and is very much so a permanent thing. Since kanade just became an omega and munechika didnt know about his feelings, imo it feels like he wanted to make sure this wasn't a spur of the moment thing just based on pheromones and to allow proper consideration for a very important life decision. He could have definitely communicated the depth of his feelings better though to make Kanade understand what he meant and feel more secure
Honestly I raised an eyebrow when Munechika proposed becoming mates almost instantly after they had sex the first time. He was really fast and neither of them even confessed anything yet. So it gave me a bad impression when he backed out on something he initiated.
However I do wish Kanade had immediately told Munechika he loved him when Munechika proposed becoming mates. Would have made things less complicated, but of course there wouldn't have been a story if they made it simple for themselves.
Hmmmm fair, while I understood this to be in his excitement at finally being able to be together; and proposing it in the heat of the moment, he could have definitely communicated his feelings better at least to follow it up. You're absolutely right though that this story's a case where miscommunication makes up most of the plot lol, so ig I'm glad they didn't drag it out for too long XD

Honestly i got a little mad at munechika. He was the one who proposed becoming mates first AND THEN he's backing out, saying it was kanade who shouldn't rush and think longer about becoming mates. Even I'd get upset over the sudden switch up. The mind was already set and the heart was already at peace and reassured, and then suddenly you're gonna take it all away? Bruh.
