Ooo Jane Austen and Agatha Christie are great starting authors in my opinion (also the subject matter isn’t so depressing compared to some others), 1984, To Kill A Mockingbird, Of Mice and Men, Great Gatsby and Handmaids Tale are much more modern classics so those might be a bit easier to read as well (they are also regularly read in high schools and colleges, so there are lots of papers on them, Frankenstein is also an great read (tho it’s a bit more confusing and significantly more depressing)

Absolutely wrong place to ask this but any classical novel recommendations that are easy to get into/beginner friendly? Thanks
